# TradeChat vs IOU

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TradeChat at none against IOU's 1. TradeChat also leads on ads (none vs shown). IOU's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IOU sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. TradeChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TradeChat against 5.0 for IOU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IOU has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TradeChat ships an update every 11 days, IOU every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
