# Insect Identifier vs Spam Text Repeater

Insect Identifier and Spam Text Repeater both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 69% of Spam Text Repeater's written reviews are positive against 23% of Insect Identifier's. Insect Identifier's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (703 vs 214). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Insect Identifier sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Spam Text Repeater sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Insect Identifier holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 703 and 214 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Insect Identifier's written reviews are positive against 69% of Spam Text Repeater's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Insect Identifier ships an update every 3 weeks, Spam Text Repeater monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
