# ChessUp vs Mine Master

ChessUp and Mine Master both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Mine Master's written reviews are positive against 54% of ChessUp's. Mine Master also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). ChessUp's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for ChessUp against 4.8 for Mine Master. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChessUp has 2.7K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
