# Zoox vs MuniMobile

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Zoox at 93% against MuniMobile's 7%. Zoox also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). MuniMobile's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Zoox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zoox has 30K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of Zoox's written reviews are positive against 7% of MuniMobile's.

Zoox ships an update fortnightly, MuniMobile every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
