# Zoox vs SWOON

The clearest difference is monetization model: SWOON at free against Zoox's paid. Zoox's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 18) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Zoox against 5.0 for SWOON. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zoox has 29K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Zoox's written reviews are positive against 100% of SWOON's.

Zoox ships an update fortnightly, SWOON every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
