# Shadow Hunter vs Shadow Rival

The clearest difference is ads: Shadow Hunter at none against Shadow Rival's shown. Shadow Hunter also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 84). Shadow Rival's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shadow Hunter sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and Shadow Rival sells 52 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Shadow Hunter against 4.7 for Shadow Rival. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shadow Hunter has 2.3K ratings behind it against 84, so its average is the more settled of the two.
