# Evolving Run vs Monster Pocket

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Evolving Run at none against Monster Pocket's 9. Evolving Run also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 36%). Monster Pocket's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 44). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Pocket sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Evolving Run asks for nothing beyond the download.

Monster Pocket holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monster Pocket has 1.2K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Evolving Run's written reviews are positive against 36% of Monster Pocket's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evolving Run ships an update every 2 weeks, Monster Pocket fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
