# Mystery Files vs Hidden Objects

Mystery Files and Hidden Objects both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 58% of Mystery Files's written reviews are positive against 33% of Hidden Objects's. Mystery Files also leads on ratings volume (5.9K vs 132). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mystery Files sells 20 one-off in-app purchases and Hidden Objects sells 21 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Mystery Files against 4.7 for Hidden Objects. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mystery Files has 5.9K ratings behind it against 132, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Mystery Files's written reviews are positive against 33% of Hidden Objects's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
