# Tambo vs Probaar

The clearest difference is update cadence: Probaar at every 3 weeks against Tambo's every 3 months. Probaar also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). Tambo's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Probaar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tambo has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tambo ships an update every 3 months, Probaar every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
