# 1000 Hours vs Eff Tracking

The clearest difference is rating: Eff Tracking at 5.0 against 1000 Hours's 3.4. 1000 Hours's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 1000 Hours sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Eff Tracking sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eff Tracking holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1000 Hours has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

1000 Hours ships an update every 4 weeks, Eff Tracking every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
