# Screambox vs Screamify

Screambox and Screamify both sit at 3.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Screamify's written reviews are positive against 17% of Screambox's. Screamify also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). Screambox's advantage is ratings volume (556 vs 17). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screambox sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Screamify asks for nothing beyond the download.

Screambox holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screambox has 556 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Screambox's written reviews are positive against 64% of Screamify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screambox ships an update every 5 weeks, Screamify every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
