# Limitless vs Self

The clearest difference is ads: Limitless at none against Self's shown. Limitless also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Limitless sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Self sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Limitless against 5.0 for Self. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Limitless has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Limitless ships an update weekly, Self every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
