# Windmill Air vs Trace Mediaa

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Trace Mediaa at 75% against Windmill Air's 28%. Trace Mediaa also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Windmill Air's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace Mediaa sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Windmill Air asks for nothing beyond the download.

Windmill Air holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Windmill Air has 6.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Windmill Air's written reviews are positive against 75% of Trace Mediaa's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Windmill Air ships an update every 2 months, Trace Mediaa every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
