# Nectar vs Speedometer GPS

The clearest difference is rating: Speedometer GPS at 4.6 against Nectar's 2.8. Speedometer GPS also leads on ratings volume (8.6K vs 6). Nectar's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer GPS sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Nectar asks for nothing beyond the download.
