# Nectar vs CastOn

The clearest difference is rating: CastOn at 4.5 against Nectar's 2.8. CastOn also leads on ratings volume (5.6K vs 6). Nectar's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CastOn sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Nectar asks for nothing beyond the download.

CastOn holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CastOn has 5.6K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
