# Simplified Notes vs Bit Buddy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simplified Notes at every 4 days against Bit Buddy's every 2 months. Bit Buddy's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simplified Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Bit Buddy sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simplified Notes ships an update every 4 days, Bit Buddy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
