# Simplified Notes vs Imgpls

The clearest difference is monetization model: Imgpls at free against Simplified Notes's paid. Imgpls also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 27.0). Simplified Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simplified Notes ships an update every 4 days, Imgpls every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
