# Sportimer vs Tick

The clearest difference is ads: Tick at none against Sportimer's shown. Tick also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Sportimer's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sportimer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Tick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sportimer ships an update every 2 months, Tick fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 9, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
