# TPN vs Pass Notes

The clearest difference is ads: Pass Notes at none against TPN's shown. Pass Notes also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). TPN's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TPN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pass Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TPN ships an update every 2 months, Pass Notes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
