# Temp Number vs TextVerified

The clearest difference is rating: Temp Number at 4.1 against TextVerified's 3.7. Temp Number also leads on ratings volume (618 vs 140). TextVerified's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 25%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Number sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and TextVerified sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Temp Number holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 618 and 140 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Temp Number's written reviews are positive against 41% of TextVerified's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Temp Number ships an update every 2 months, TextVerified every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
