# WEWATCH CAM vs Security Home

The clearest difference is rating: Security Home at 4.3 against WEWATCH CAM's 1.9. Security Home also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 13). WEWATCH CAM's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WEWATCH CAM sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Security Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of WEWATCH CAM's written reviews are positive against 19% of Security Home's.

WEWATCH CAM ships an update monthly, Security Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
