# OutdoorElements vs Bromic Smart

The clearest difference is rating: Bromic Smart at 3.0 against OutdoorElements's 1.6. OutdoorElements's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bromic Smart holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of OutdoorElements's written reviews are positive against 8% of Bromic Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OutdoorElements ships an update every 3 weeks, Bromic Smart every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
