# TherapyEd vs NPTE Ninja

The clearest difference is rating: TherapyEd at 4.8 against NPTE Ninja's 1.8. TherapyEd also leads on ratings volume (754 vs 5). NPTE Ninja's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (43% vs 28%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TherapyEd sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and NPTE Ninja sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TherapyEd holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TherapyEd has 754 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of TherapyEd's written reviews are positive against 43% of NPTE Ninja's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TherapyEd ships an update every 5 weeks, NPTE Ninja weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
