# Novel Dragon vs RosyRead

The clearest difference is rating: RosyRead at 4.6 against Novel Dragon's 3.7. RosyRead also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Novel Dragon's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Novel Dragon sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and RosyRead sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RosyRead holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Novel Dragon's written reviews are positive against 71% of RosyRead's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Novel Dragon ships an update every 3 weeks, RosyRead every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
