# Diary vs Pudding Note

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Diary at 1.6K against Pudding Note's 6. Pudding Note's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Pudding Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Diary against 4.7 for Pudding Note. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary has 1.6K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Diary's written reviews are positive against 80% of Pudding Note's.

Diary ships an update every 2 months, Pudding Note every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
