# Telechat vs BatChat

The clearest difference is rating: Telechat at 4.3 against BatChat's 3.5. BatChat's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Telechat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and BatChat sells 27 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Telechat holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 125 and 99 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Telechat's written reviews are positive against 86% of BatChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Telechat ships an update every 2 months, BatChat every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
