# Othership vs Del Sol Studios

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Del Sol Studios at none against Othership's 4. Del Sol Studios also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Othership's advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Othership sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Del Sol Studios asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Othership against 5.0 for Del Sol Studios. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Othership has 2.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Othership ships an update every 6 weeks, Del Sol Studios every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
