# MCE Sync vs Lectron

The clearest difference is rating: MCE Sync at 4.7 against Lectron's 2.8. MCE Sync also leads on ratings volume (213 vs 16). Lectron's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MCE Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MCE Sync has 213 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of MCE Sync's written reviews are positive against 42% of Lectron's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MCE Sync ships an update every 6 weeks, Lectron every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
