# uStory vs Y/n

The clearest difference is update cadence: Y/n at every 2 weeks against uStory's every 2 months. Y/n also leads on ratings volume (5.5K vs 6) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uStory sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Y/n sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Y/n holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Y/n has 5.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of uStory's written reviews are positive against 61% of Y/n's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

uStory ships an update every 2 months, Y/n every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
