# Owlet Dream vs Safeview

Owlet Dream and Safeview both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 85% of Safeview's written reviews are positive against 17% of Owlet Dream's. Safeview also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Owlet Dream's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 789) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Owlet Dream sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Safeview sells 25 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Owlet Dream against 4.6 for Safeview. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Owlet Dream has 42K ratings behind it against 789, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of Owlet Dream's written reviews are positive against 85% of Safeview's.

Owlet Dream ships an update every 2 weeks, Safeview every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
