# TeraWave vs Scale

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scale at 100% against TeraWave's 60%. Scale also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (122 vs 19). TeraWave's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scale sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TeraWave asks for nothing beyond the download.

TeraWave holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scale has 122 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of TeraWave's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scale's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TeraWave ships an update every 2 months, Scale every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
