# LeapVPN vs 香蕉VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: 香蕉VPN at free with in-app purchases against LeapVPN's subscription. 香蕉VPN also leads on review sentiment (91% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). LeapVPN's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 103). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LeapVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and 香蕉VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LeapVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LeapVPN has 4.4K ratings behind it against 103, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of LeapVPN's written reviews are positive against 91% of 香蕉VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LeapVPN ships an update every 4 weeks, 香蕉VPN every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
