# LeapVPN vs LeapCloud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LeapCloud at 100% against LeapVPN's 62%. LeapCloud also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). LeapVPN's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LeapVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and LeapCloud sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LeapCloud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LeapVPN has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of LeapVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of LeapCloud's.

LeapVPN ships an update every 4 weeks, LeapCloud every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
