# Leaf Identification vs Mountain Identifier

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mountain Identifier at 100% against Leaf Identification's 34%. Mountain Identifier also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Leaf Identification's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). Both are free to download. Leaf Identification sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Mountain Identifier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
