# DoorLoop vs Barbourville Utilities

The clearest difference is monetization model: Barbourville Utilities at free against DoorLoop's freemium. DoorLoop's advantage is ratings volume (6.6K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Barbourville Utilities holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DoorLoop has 6.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
