# West Stride vs Eastside Golf

The clearest difference is ads: West Stride at none against Eastside Golf's shown. West Stride also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Eastside Golf's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for West Stride against 4.9 for Eastside Golf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eastside Golf has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

West Stride ships an update monthly, Eastside Golf every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
