# Camera Trap Wireless vs PROBE PLUS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PROBE PLUS at none against Camera Trap Wireless's 3. PROBE PLUS also leads on ratings volume (113 vs 8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Camera Trap Wireless's advantage is rating (1.9 vs 1.5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Camera Trap Wireless sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. PROBE PLUS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Camera Trap Wireless holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PROBE PLUS has 113 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Camera Trap Wireless's written reviews are positive against 7% of PROBE PLUS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camera Trap Wireless ships an update monthly, PROBE PLUS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
