# Secrets vs Password Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Secrets at 4.6 against Password Manager's 3.7. Secrets also leads on ratings volume (186 vs 3). Password Manager's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secrets sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Password Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secrets holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secrets has 186 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Secrets's written reviews are positive against 100% of Password Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Secrets ships an update every 4 weeks, Password Manager monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
