# Secrets vs Paraphrase tool

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Paraphrase tool at 88% against Secrets's 62%. Paraphrase tool also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Secrets's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secrets sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Paraphrase tool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secrets holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 188 and 73 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Secrets's written reviews are positive against 88% of Paraphrase tool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Secrets ships an update every 5 weeks, Paraphrase tool every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
