# Secrets vs PassGuard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PassGuard at 100% against Secrets's 62%. PassGuard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Secrets's advantage is ratings volume (188 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secrets sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PassGuard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.19 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PassGuard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secrets has 188 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Secrets's written reviews are positive against 100% of PassGuard's.

Secrets ships an update every 5 weeks, PassGuard every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
