# EROAD Assist vs Gorilla Safety Plus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EROAD Assist at 67% against Gorilla Safety Plus's 14%. EROAD Assist also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.6). Gorilla Safety Plus's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (16 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gorilla Safety Plus holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gorilla Safety Plus has 16 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of EROAD Assist's written reviews are positive against 14% of Gorilla Safety Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EROAD Assist ships an update monthly, Gorilla Safety Plus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
