# Back40 vs TRAG Tracking

The clearest difference is update cadence: TRAG Tracking at every 3 days against Back40's every 10 days. Back40's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Back40 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and TRAG Tracking sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Back40 ships an update every 10 days, TRAG Tracking every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
