# Secure VPN Proxy vs Green VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Green VPN at free with in-app purchases against Secure VPN Proxy's subscription. Green VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure VPN Proxy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Green VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Secure VPN Proxy against 4.5 for Green VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5K and 1.8K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Secure VPN Proxy's written reviews are positive against 91% of Green VPN's.

Secure VPN Proxy ships an update every 5 weeks, Green VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
