# IceWarp vs Crest Approval

The clearest difference is update cadence: Crest Approval at every 3 days against IceWarp's fortnightly. Crest Approval also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IceWarp ships an update fortnightly, Crest Approval every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
