# Lognote vs Log Notebook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Log Notebook at none against Lognote's 3. Log Notebook also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Lognote's advantage is ratings volume (54 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lognote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Log Notebook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Log Notebook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lognote has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 94% of Lognote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Log Notebook's.

Lognote ships an update weekly, Log Notebook fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
