# Lognote vs Scheme Log

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Scheme Log at none against Lognote's 3. Scheme Log also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Lognote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (51 vs 1). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lognote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Scheme Log asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scheme Log holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lognote has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lognote ships an update weekly, Scheme Log fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
