# Simple vs flour

The clearest difference is update cadence: flour at every 5 days against Simple's every 14 months. Simple's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simple ships an update every 14 months, flour every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
