# Dot vs Timeleft

The clearest difference is rating: Timeleft at 4.6 against Dot's 1.9. Timeleft also leads on ratings volume (8.8K vs 7) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Dot's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 49%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dot sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Timeleft sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timeleft holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeleft has 8.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Dot's written reviews are positive against 49% of Timeleft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dot ships an update monthly, Timeleft weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
