# Simply Fluent vs Fluency Drop

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fluency Drop at 38 against Simply Fluent's 1. Fluency Drop also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 50%). Simply Fluent's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simply Fluent sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Fluency Drop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simply Fluent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fluency Drop has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Simply Fluent's written reviews are positive against 63% of Fluency Drop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simply Fluent ships an update every 3 weeks, Fluency Drop every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
