# IPIC Theaters vs Elevate Entertainment

The clearest difference is rating: IPIC Theaters at 4.8 against Elevate Entertainment's 4.3. IPIC Theaters also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Elevate Entertainment's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 15%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IPIC Theaters holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 813 and 1K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of IPIC Theaters's written reviews are positive against 39% of Elevate Entertainment's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
